The nagamaki is designed for large sweeping and slicing strokes. Traditionally the Japanese nagamaki was used as an infantry weapon, frequently used against cavalry. The blade was single-edged. Overall length is 53” with a blade 29” and 24” handle.

Simply excellent. The Hickory is lightweight and resilient, with beautiful grain and smooth texture. This Nagamaki Bokken is the only option online with such a pleasant curve and feel. Extremely effective. Allows the ability to hold an enemy at distance. Ive had other swords which all have dented, chipped, and sometimes lost tips. This sword shows no signs of these dents and other annoying things. After buying this sword, i will continue to purchase many more.
